When Laura and her husband were looking for their dream property, they knew they wanted somewhere they could turn into a bright, fun family home, but it also needed to be in the right area and at the right price. We put in a lot of time and effort to find the perfect place to live and when this property came on the market, we jumped at the chance to buy it,' says Laura. 'It was in an ideal village location to suit the children, near our families, and it was a great price too.' While it needed a major update, as the couple visualised a big extension, they knew it would eventually be the perfect place to call home.
The couple knew that the price was so low because the house needed a full renovation. 'It literally hadn't been touched since 1962, so we knew we had our work cut out for us,' recalls Laura. 'We decided on a plan of action that would be long-term, but we knew would be worth it in the end.'
