Around its time of creation, ‘simple’ was not a word people would use to describe their jewellery. Though heavily influenced by the rising style of Art Deco, jewellery were largely decorated with various precious stones. People were becoming more fashionable, each touch of accessory a display of their personal style rather than simply a symbol of wealth.
